Brightway Insurance believes in investing in community well-being, which is why the agency partners closely with the Muskegon YMCA to promote shared core values – health, community engagement, and accessibility.

Brightway’s support contributes to numerous YMCA programs that improve physical and mental well-being, including classes for chronic disease prevention and youth development initiatives.

“The Muskegon YMCA’s programming aligns with Brightway Insurance’s dedication to helping individuals and families live healthier, more secure lives. We know that access to health and wellness resources is essential for a thriving community,” says Bryan Lambert, principal, Brightway Insurance. “By supporting the YMCA, we aim to ensure everyone has the opportunity to lead active, healthy lifestyles.”

Brightway Insurance provides financial support and actively participates in YMCA events, such as the Trinity Health Seaway Run, where the staff hosts monthly planning meetings, secures sponsorships, provides storage and transportation, and volunteers for event day logistics. Many employees also participate in the race with their families. Additionally, the agency fundraises for the Black Tie for the Y gala. At this event, Bryan had the opportunity to meet a YMCA Livestrong program graduate who shared how the program gave her the strength to rebuild her health after surviving cancer. She created artwork symbolizing her journey, which was auctioned to raise funds for future participants.

“That painting now hangs in the Brightway office as a reminder of why we support the YMCA—because every dollar we invest has a real impact on someone’s life.”

Receiving a $10,000 Make More Happen Award supports year-round programs for diabetes prevention, cancer survivors, blood pressure monitoring, heart health initiatives, and Safety Around Water for third graders. Join Brightway in removing financial barriers, promoting wellness, and creating a lasting impact on the health of Muskegon residents – vote now!
