Cromwell & Ney Insurance believes in the power of community which is why they dig deep to support Escalon Strong, a local nonprofit working to improve quality of life for community members in San Joaquin County, CA.
Escalon Strong helps individuals remain independent, self-sufficient, and supported – including providing scooters for seniors, offering housing education, and running a community garden and food pantry to address food insecurity.
The Cromwell & Ney team shows up for their Escalon neighbors in numerous ways. The green thumbs on staff promote garden boxes and donate homegrown plants to the Community Garden, while others have organized fundraising campaigns and a food drive with local businesses. The agency has provided donation tubs and marketing kits to boost participation, collected items, and delivered them to the Giving Pantry. They stay committed by volunteering year-round by helping sort pantry inventory.

“When we helped launch the food drive for The Giving Pantry, a customer shared how the pantry helped her mother during tough times and thanked us for bringing the community together. That moment reminded us why we get involved — to connect with people, uplift our neighbors and help build a stronger, more connected Escalon.”
The $10,000 Make More Happen donation would help cover fuel and utility costs for the food program, ensuring food can be stored and transported across the county to those in need. The award also would assist with the expansion of the community garden and support the recreation program by purchasing maintenance equipment and supplies.
