At Howard Hanna Insurance Services, the agency is dedicated to giving back to the communities where they live and work. As part of that commitment, the company has proudly supported hundreds of educational, health, and humanitarian programs in all their markets over three decades. What started with a train of company potluck luncheons, lovingly dubbed “Choo Choo Chow Chow” events, led to the creation of the Howard Hanna Children’s Free Care Fund. Together, the company and its partner network of regional children’s hospitals and pediatric programs uphold a belief that no child should be denied critical medical care because of their family’s financial situation.

Howard Hanna employees roll up their sleeves year-round to support families facing medical crises. From planning Children’s Free Care charity events to staffing ticket booths and silent auctions, the team gives time, talent, and resources. They continue to find innovative ways to fundraise, including an online 50/50 raffle for National Superhero Day that raised more than $1,000. In 2025, the agency set an annual record with more than $19,000 raised.

“We’re proud that our team’s passion turns into real care for children in our communities,” says Danielle Shearer, Vice President at Howard Hanna Insurance Services. “Every hour volunteered and every dollar raised helps remove a barrier between a child and the treatment they need.”

These efforts translate directly into lifesaving help. A $10,000 Make More Happen Award can help offset the cost of emergency surgeries, ICU stays, diagnostic MRIs, and post-operative rehabilitation for uninsured or underinsured children.

Vote for Howard Hanna Insurance Services and the Howard Hanna Children’s Free Care Fund today — your vote alleviates financial stress for families and enables better and faster medical outcomes for kids in need.
