Capital Cup for Kids brings athletes and neighbors together to support local families facing the unimaginable challenge of a child’s serious illness. Through adult hockey, golf, and pickleball tournaments, the nonprofit raises hundreds of thousands of dollars each year for organizations like Ronald McDonald House, Make-A-Wish, and Building on Love, while also providing direct assistance to families in crisis throughout the Capital Region. Foursurance has proudly stood beside this mission since 2019, sponsoring a hockey team led by agency owner Donald Ferlazzo and helping raise money each year, including a team-record of over $13,000 to-date in 2026.

In addition to fundraising, Foursurance adopts a local family as its honorary captain, bringing gifts for the child and essential items and financial support for parents who are overwhelmed by treatment costs, travel, hotel stays, meals, and everyday expenses not covered by health insurance. The team also invites teammates, friends, family, and community members to contribute, multiplying the impact.

“Just to see these resilient kids smile so brightly despite knowing the challenges they face and seeing the appreciation on their parents’ faces really warms our hearts,” Donald Ferlazzo shared.

A $10,000 Make More Happen Award would help Capital Cup for Kids continue funding free meals at Ronald McDonald House, adaptive sports equipment and winter gear for children at Double H Ranch, and life-changing wishes for terminally ill kids through Make-A-Wish.

Vote for Foursurance and Capital Cup for Kids today to help more families find comfort, hope, and support when they need it most.
