For Guardian Insurance Group, supporting those who have served our country is more than a cause—it’s a calling. Since co-founding Suits for Soldiers Lake of the Ozarks in 2018, the agency has been deeply committed to helping veterans transition into civilian life with dignity and confidence.

Recognizing that many local veterans face challenges accessing professional attire for job interviews and important events, Suits for Soldiers provides new suits, shirts, and ties at no cost, empowering these heroes to look and feel their best.

“Our agency serves as a friendly guide to help clients protect what matters most and provide hope in difficult times,” says Paula Nienhueser, co-owner, Guardian Insurance Group. “We want to offer that same feeling to local veterans. Every suit we provide represents respect, gratitude, and a fresh start for veterans who’ve given so much.”

Guardian Insurance Group supports Suits for Soldiers year-round through weekly planning meetings with the nonprofit board to coordinate fundraising and event logistics for the suit drive. The staff at Guardian Insurance Group also manages all mailings, social media, organizes suit inventory and volunteer t-shirts, and volunteers on pre-event work days and on event day to ensure every veteran receives personal attention and care. The agency has recruited numerous volunteers that return year after year, and also participates in other veteran-focused initiatives, including Honor Flight of the Ozarks, Support Our Troops Boat Fundraiser and H.E.R.O.E.S. Care, to expand the services available to local veterans.

One of the most touching moments for Guardian Insurance Group came when a veteran requested a suit not for a job interview, but to be buried in—a humbling reminder of Suits for Soldiers’ profound impact.

A $10,000 Make More Happen Award would allow Suits for Soldiers Lake of the Ozarks to provide nearly 70 brand-new suits and expand outreach efforts to veterans across rural Missouri. By voting for Guardian Insurance Group, you’re helping veterans take their next step with confidence and community support—join us in honoring our heroes!
