F.R.I.E.N.D.S. of Broomfield gets $10K to create opportunities for adults with IDD

BROOMFIELD – Conexus Insurance Partners, through an award from Liberty Mutual, recently secured a $10,000 donation for F.R.I.E.N.D.S. of Broomfield that the nonprofit group will use to create opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or IDD.

The funding will help fuel the mission of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. by keeping the organization’s transportation fleet running, ensuring adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can receive on-the-job support to be successful in the workplace, access community programs, pursue their hobbies and interests, and build meaningful relationships,” Conexus said in a news release. “Reliable transportation is often the key that unlocks opportunity, independence and connection.”

The donation is part of Liberty’s 2026 Make More Happen Award program.

Recognizing independent agents’ dedication to their communities and nonprofit partners is what the Make More Happen Awards are all about,” Liberty Mutual senior territory manager Eric Tompkins said in the release. “Conexus Insurance Partners’ commitment to F.R.I.E.N.D.S. of Broomfield demonstrates how local businesses can create meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities and strengthen entire communities.”
