Putting stories into print for writers with special needs

Together, they co-lead WATCH’s weekly Writers Club, guiding adults with special needs as they craft and publish their own works. They have seen participants blossom with confidence and creativity as they’re empowered to share their stories.

The agency’s employees also volunteer regularly, building friendships by playing pickleball and engaging in fun activities with WATCH clients. They also provide annual donations and actively promote WATCH’s projects and published books through community channels and their local radio show, raising awareness all year long.

“Whether it’s protecting a milestone purchase or seeing a passion come to life, our agency knows how special it is to see hard work pay off,” says Jason Billington. “We’ve witnessed our WATCH Writers Club publish its first book, WATCH ME, and surprised a student songwriter by turning his lyrics into a recorded song, played live at a holiday party. Seeing the pride and joy on participants’ faces is a beautiful reminder of the profound impact small acts of kindness can have.”
