Don Owens started Owens Insurance Agency in 1952 and in doing so wanted the agency to become a servant of his beloved Greer community. At 93, Don still delivers meals for Greer Community Ministries and his son Riley delivered meals when he owned the agency.
Now current agency owners Shane Lynn and Chris Crist carry on the legacy by volunteering at GCM: Lynn has been on the executive board and Crist runs a meals on wheels route for GCM withVP of Sales Chad Hannon. And a former Owens Insurance Agency employee, Donny Kauffman, is the current executive director of GCM!
