The National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC) champions aging in place by bringing professionals and communities together through collaboration, education, and advocacy. U.S. Home & Auto Insurance Group stepped up to support NAIPC Greater Baltimore after agency principal Patrick Geoghan was introduced to the chapter by his wife, Mary Lynch, the chapter’s Chair and a longtime advocate for accessible housing and aging-in-place solutions.

He recognized that many older adults and caregivers have questions about insurance coverage for in-home care, home modifications, and protection from financial scams — areas where trusted education from an insurance expert could make a real difference.

“NAIPC offers a trusted platform to educate and protect vulnerable populations, which aligns with U.S. Home & Auto’s mission to safeguard individuals and families,” says Patrick Geoghan. “By partnering with NAIPC, we can teach practical insurance solutions that protect seniors’ independence and give families peace of mind.”

U.S. Home & Auto Insurance Group supports NAIPC Greater Baltimore through ongoing volunteer engagement, education, and sponsorship. For the past two years, the agency has participated in the annual Power of Age Expo, one of the largest aging-focused events on the East Coast, staffing and supporting the NAIPC booth each October. Throughout the year, team members volunteer at library-based education programs on senior scam prevention, brain health (“Keeping Your Marbles”), and functional medicine. They sponsor refreshments, giveaways, and prizes, and Geoghan also leads educational sessions on how insurance supports successful aging in place.

A $10,000 Make More Happen Award would expand free programming beyond the 19 senior centers and four libraries currently served and fund broader marketing efforts to reach homebound older adults and caregivers, ensuring that diverse communities receive important information and tools. Vote for U.S. Home & Auto Insurance Group and NAIPC Greater Baltimore so they can extend trusted resources and protect more aging neighbors.
