Big Brothers Big Sisters of Idaho believes every child deserves a stable, caring adult in their corner—someone who cheers them on, builds their confidence, and helps them reach their full potential. That mission resonated deeply with Insure Idaho Principal Carrie Purcell, who has served as a Big Sister twice and seen firsthand how meaningful mentorship can be. Through both relationships, Carrie watched her Littles grow more confident, open, and willing to dream bigger, reinforcing the lasting impact of programs like BBBS.
Insure Idaho supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Idaho through sponsorships, donations, and active participation in the Annual Big Little Dill Pickleball Tournament. Last year, they collectively raised more than $10,000, while agency leadership also serves on the Big Impact Group Board, attending monthly meetings and local fundraising events throughout Boise. Together, the agency and nonprofit are helping create powerful connections that go far beyond a single event.
“Children thrive when they have someone who consistently shows up and encourages them to believe in their potential,” says Carrie Purcell. “Having a trusted adult to turn to can build confidence and remind a child that they matter.”
A $10,000 Make More Happen Award would help fund more than 10 matches, supporting year-round activities like indoor rock climbing, museum visits, DIY vision boards, cooking projects, photography challenges, and more.
