When Liberty Insurance Agency thinks about its mission, it’s about more than insurance—it’s about people. They believe in standing beside their clients, neighbors, and community every step of the way. They’ve built a culture centered around helping others, whether that means guiding clients through life’s challenges or giving back to those in need. Each team member is given eight volunteer hours every year to contribute to causes they care about, and together, they support a variety of nonprofits on a quarterly basis.
Most recently, our team has dedicated time to standing beside Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Pittsburgh and Morgantown, helping provide a welcoming place where families can stay close to their children receiving medical care. Through these efforts, they aim to offer comfort, stability, and hope when it’s needed most.
“Our partnership with Ronald McDonald House goes beyond donations,” says Kevin Heher, President, Liberty Insurance Agency. “We actively and continuously offer our time and resources —collecting pop tabs to fund programs, gathering toiletries and pantry items to support families during their stay, and cooking meals to nourish and uplift families. We believe in creating a community of care inside and outside of our agency.”
Volunteering at RMHC has been a transformative experience for the Liberty Insurance Agency team. Cooking meals for families facing difficult situations helps employees connect on a deeper level, fostering empathy, gratitude, and teamwork. Together they’ve seen that their efforts have provided more than just food—they’ve offered comfort and support. Outside the kitchen, the Liberty team donates various amounts through their quarterly new business referral program. Employees also have shared their experience on social media to raise awareness of RMHC’s mission and encourage others to sign on, bringing the team closer and helping RMHC reach more people.
A $10,000 Make More Happen Award would provide meals for an entire year for the Pittsburgh Morgantown site, or sponsor 10 apartments where families can stay close to their children during treatment. With your vote, this vital support will help alleviate the stress of housing and food insecurity and enable families to focus on healing and hope.
I was taken care of so well in 2023 from the Pittsburgh RMHC I will help however I can
Thank you so much for the amazing work you do. Your dedication makes such a difference in the lives of so many, and we are truly grateful for the positive impact you bring to our community
Thank you for all you do!
RMHC Pittsburgh provided space for my son and I while he underwent radiation treatment. I don’t know how we could have done it without them!
Grateful for RMHC taking care of my sister-in-law while my nephew underwent multiple heart surgeries. Each time, RMH Morgantown was always there to support them!
Nobody knows how important these places are until you have to use them it was a lifeline for me and my family to help my daughter get treated while we were at UPMC for months
My twins were in Children’s Hospital for 10 weeks. I was fortunate that I lived close by that I could commute on a daily basis. The Ronald McDonald House helps the families that are unable to commute back and forth and it is a wonderful organization. I’m glad Liberty Insurance Agency chose the Ronald McDonald House to fundraise for. Our help is greatly appreciated by these families.
