When Liberty Insurance Agency thinks about its mission, it’s about more than insurance—it’s about people. They believe in standing beside their clients, neighbors, and community every step of the way. They’ve built a culture centered around helping others, whether that means guiding clients through life’s challenges or giving back to those in need. Each team member is given eight volunteer hours every year to contribute to causes they care about, and together, they support a variety of nonprofits on a quarterly basis.

Most recently, our team has dedicated time to standing beside Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Pittsburgh and Morgantown, helping provide a welcoming place where families can stay close to their children receiving medical care. Through these efforts, they aim to offer comfort, stability, and hope when it’s needed most.

“Our partnership with Ronald McDonald House goes beyond donations,” says Kevin Heher, President, Liberty Insurance Agency. “We actively and continuously offer our time and resources —collecting pop tabs to fund programs, gathering toiletries and pantry items to support families during their stay, and cooking meals to nourish and uplift families. We believe in creating a community of care inside and outside of our agency.”

Volunteering at RMHC has been a transformative experience for the Liberty Insurance Agency team. Cooking meals for families facing difficult situations helps employees connect on a deeper level, fostering empathy, gratitude, and teamwork. Together they’ve seen that their efforts have provided more than just food—they’ve offered comfort and support. Outside the kitchen, the Liberty team donates various amounts through their quarterly new business referral program. Employees also have shared their experience on social media to raise awareness of RMHC’s mission and encourage others to sign on, bringing the team closer and helping RMHC reach more people.

A $10,000 Make More Happen Award would provide meals for an entire year for the Pittsburgh Morgantown site, or sponsor 10 apartments where families can stay close to their children during treatment. With your vote, this vital support will help alleviate the stress of housing and food insecurity and enable families to focus on healing and hope.
